PLAY
This is the second-to-last reel in a series less about fitness and more about expanding what you believe you're capable of.
We started with landing.
Then changing direction.
Carrying load.
Moving through wild ground.
Now: play.
Play is movement driven by curiosity rather than outcomes.
No stopwatch.
No calories burned.
No personal best.
You jump because it looks fun.
You balance because you wonder if you can.
You climb because the challenge is there.
Ironically, many of the qualities we spend hours trying to train emerge naturally through play: balance, coordination, agility, confidence, adaptability and resilience.
Maybe a simple park bench isn't just for sitting. And when you're finished, you sit back down exactly where you started.
The bench hasn't changed. But perhaps you have?
Next: do hard things (for you).
