Too good to watch from the sidelines
Kids are brilliant at trying.
They don’t overthink. They don’t worry about getting it wrong. They simply begin.
Somewhere along the way, many of us become a little more careful. We calculate more, hesitate more, and forget that falling down, adjusting and trying again was always part of learning.
Maybe that’s why I love these rocks so much.
Twenty years ago, they were part of our story — a place my husband and I explored together when we were first dating.
Now they’re part of our son’s story too.
Different generations. Different attempts. Same joy in figuring it out.
The climb itself isn’t the point. The laughter, the jumping down, the problem-solving and the willingness to try again — that’s where the magic lives.
Perhaps the richest parts of life aren’t the things we collect, but the experiences that become part of who we are.
Keep finding places that remind you how to play.
Live like you mean it.
