Summer bodies are built in Spring
No, this is not a gimmick!
Simply, that what you’re doing now determines your summer! Can you sustain it, keep it consistent, enjoy it, up-level it, remain curious about it, celebrate spring thru it?!
A spring's energy starts as potential energy and is stored through a process of compression or extension. We call this winter - food like curries, stews and spaghetti; movement that tries to keep us warm like indoor, continual circuits, less rest; a mindset that’s in a holding or even hibernating pattern in shorter days and darker nights- don’t you think?!
Then when you apply a force to that spring - like when you are doing work on it - causes it to deform from its resting position which converts it into a form of stored energy called elastic potential energy. And the more potential energy the spring stores and the more kinetic energy it will release. This is Spring - using winter’s stored energy to leap towards our goals!
When you read above that what you’re doing right now determines your summer, did you think ‘yes!’ or ‘great, not!’? Either way, your body is coiling to spring this Spring - how much energy do you want to give it?
Me? I’m bursting! A whole year of injury and I’m ready to go go go.
Stronger is not an option but something I gotta utilise, potential too (I can only get better than now, right?!).
I no longer feel like hot heavy meals but lighter crunchier textures that hydrate and satisfy a fruitier often sweeter whim, called Spring!!!!
